The inhibitory effect is stronger in firms with lower absorptive or adaptive capacity and non-new energy sources or high pollution.
By analyzing energy consumption in various stages of the supply chain, firms can identify key areas for improvement, such as improving logistics routes, optimizing inventory management, and enhancing production processes.
The adoption of a waste-to-energy (WTE) supply chain as a district energy system should be a viable solution toward a circular industrial economy that can solve energy consumption, waste management, and greenhouse gas emission concerns all at once.
