Introduction With the rise of the modern construction industry, comfort, beauty, and constant balance have been sought in the field of architecture.
In particular, since the curtain wall structure is highly influenced by solar radiation, an analysis was conducted in consideration of this. Unlike previous studies, this study studied the correlation between solar radiation and comfort introduced into the curtain wall structure.
In this study, a field experiment was therefore performed in an actual office building with a transparent envelope consisting of curtain walls instead of a laboratory (chamber) to reliably reflect the actual indoor thermal environment of an office and inform an analysis of the thermal comfort of its occupants.
