As an efficient and convenient flexible resource, energy storage systems (ESSs) have the advantages of fast-response characteristics and bi-directional power conversion, which can provide flexible support for the power system.

This paper establishes an optimization model for the ESS based on a bi-level programming model.
Leveraging the advantages of CVaR, this paper proposes a planning model that integrates flexibility requirements and operational risks. ESS devices serve as a flexible resource for the power system, offering rapid responsiveness and bi-directional conversion capabilities to provide essential support to the power system (Zhou et al., 2023).
